How to link statically

On deployment computer install the proprietary openhaptics debian packages, then the following

sudo apt-get install libteem1 libqt4-opengl 
sudo ln -s /usr/lib/libraw1394.so.11 /usr/lib/libraw1394.so.8

Then you should be able to run jawsim
